The Army Ten-Miler uses an inflatable archway in the USAA-sponsored Hooah Tent Zone primarily as a highly visible, practical, and highly branded visual anchor to welcome runners into the post-race celebration area. High-Impact Sponsorship Branding: As a premier race sponsor, USAA uses the massive surface area of an inflatable archway to prominently display its logos. Because it stands tall above the crowd, it ensures maximum brand visibility in post-race photographs and media coverage. Crowd Control & Wayfinding: The Hooah Tent Zone is an incredibly crowded area hosting up to 60,000 runners, spectators, and volunteers across dozens of military command tents. A giant, elevated archway serves as a crucial visual landmark, helping exhausted runners easily navigate from the finish line corral straight into the festive zone. Rapid Deployment on Concrete: The Hooah Tent Zone takes place in the Pentagon North Parking Lot. Because staking heavy, rigid metal truss archways into asphalt or concrete is difficult and structurally destructive, inflatable structures are preferred. They are anchored down securely with sandbags or water weights and can be inflated or deflated in minutes.

The Army’s annual Army Ten-Mile Race and Expo is conducted in our nation’s capital by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington (MDW). Attracting over 35,000 runners and 900 teams from around the world, the Army Ten-Miler (ATM) exemplifies the Spirit of Sport and the Spirit of a Nation. Participants include military, civilians, wheel chair athletes and wounded warrior athletes. ATM’s mission is to support Army outreach, build morale, and promote physical fitness. Over 900 Soldiers and 900 volunteers support the Army’s “world class” ATM race. Now in its 41st year, over 488,191 runners have run ATM since its inception in 1985. ATM is a category-B Army Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) event open to the public. All race proceeds benefit MWR programs. To date, ATM has generated over $16 million for Army MWR.
