The 181st Infantry Brigade at Fort McCoy utilizes an inflatable start/finish archway primarily to boost unit morale, mark routes for fitness and resiliency events, and establish a clear, professional visual presence during physical training (PT) tests, motivational runs, and community outreach events. As part of the First Army division, the Multi-Functional Training Brigade (MFTB) is heavily tasked with mobilizing and preparing U.S. Army Reserve soldiers for deployment. Inflatable archways are highly functional for these large-scale exercises because they serve as official starting and finishing lines for competitive unit 5Ks, rucking events, and physical fitness tests. They are deployed to celebrate milestone events, making “Eagle Brigade” formations feel recognized and appreciated. Because they deflate, they can be easily moved, stored, and set up anywhere across the sprawling training grounds of Fort McCoy.
