Shawnee County Conservation District (and other districts across the country) utilizes a fully printed, walk-through inflatable soil tunnel as an interactive, hands-on educational tool. Inflatable Soil Tunnels are used to teach both children and adults about: Soil Biology – Illustrates the biological composition of soil, including organisms like worms and roots. Soil Formation & Health – Demonstrates how soils form and their benefits to people and the environment. Conservation Impact – Showcases the effects of erosion, human impacts on the land, and the overall importance of natural resource protection. The Large inflatable soil tunnel provides a mobile, larger-than-life, and handicap-accessible experience for use at schools, county fairs, and agriculture days.
