Hot Rocks is an annual cycling event put on by the Rockwall Rotary Club. The proceeds from the event are used to provide college scholarships to deserving high school graduates and to provide donations to important community projects. Hot Rocks attracts all levels of riders from aggressive to family fun. In addition to the 100K, Hot Rocks offers 12, 24, and 42 mile courses. Volunteers provide rest stops approximately every 10 miles, serving drinks, ice, and fruit. All entrants receive the Hot Rocks T-shirt and on-site lunch. The top three male and female finishers of the Hot Rocks 100K receive cash awards.
